Job Overview

Al Futtaim Heavy Machinery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our central service facility in Dubai. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, advanced diagnostic troubleshooting, and complex repair of our premium fleet, focusing on Caterpillar and Volvo construction machinery.

You will work in a state-of-the-art environment equipped with the latest diagnostic tools, supporting major infrastructure and development projects across the UAE by ensuring maximum equipment uptime and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostic testing on heavy machinery engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic control units using OEM software.
  • Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity of Caterpillar and Volvo assets.
  • Conduct complex mechanical and hydraulic repairs, including component rebuilds and complete system overhauls.
  • Strictly adhere to all workplace safety protocols, maintaining a clean and secure working environment in accordance with internal and regional compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records, documenting all repairs, parts utilized, and labor hours in the digital service management system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrable experience specifically working with heavy construction machinery (Caterpillar and Volvo preferred).
  • Recognized technical certification or diploma in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Diesel Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of complex heavy engine systems, modern hydraulic circuits, and advanced electronic diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and electronic schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor in an industrial environment.
